Detailing Equipment, Product, an Tips/Tricks Thread

New to the site. I have been on GMfullsize for some time.
On my personal truck I use a PC with the adams combos looking to try some mezerna and the new stuff coming out from HD detailing.
Dad owns a body shop I do details for him on the side and I use the 3m and megs 105/205 combo there. I am looking to get a flex eventually to try it out.

Washing I mainly do ONR washes with the two bucket method. Love that stuff its so versatile. On heavily soiled vehicles or when the weather is nice I like to do a normal wash with either adams or chemical guys soap.

Dressings I use chemical guys and Adams dressings.

LSP I use mainly sealants because my personal vehicle is white and I dont see a huge carnuba affect with white and I use it on customer vehicles for the extended protection and slickness. I am really curious to use some of the higher end waxes out there.

I get most of my towels from Adams and detailedimage.com.

Tips:
Learn your products. Learn what they can do and the right way to use them.
The money on the towels are worth it. Most marring is caused by low quality or dirty towels.
Plan out your detail. If your like me with a short attention span, if you dont have a plan of attack you will be hopping around from front bumber to drivers rims to hood and after a few hours you realize you have gone nowhere. Stay motivated at the task at hand.
Beer and good tunes help with the long days in the garage.

this thread is old but fuck it.

so i sprained my ankle so i have a bit of time off.
was going to just go wash my truck but figured why not dry get rid of some of the massive runs in the paint before i wash it.

used some 2000 grit sand paper and a fucking headlight restoration buffer with some turtle wax scratch remover.

i have no clue what i am doing and paint is screwed anyway so i gave it a shot with pretty good results.

So when i was polishing on my truck the other day i ended up getting some polish on the textured part of the front bumper around the tow hooks. How do i go about getting that shit off. Ive tried a couple different things so far, to no avail.
