I think...my AC stopped working after my e fan swap.

Over the winter I used Nelson harness with my e fan/34" rad swap. Now that it's hot out my AC is blowing warm air and clutch engages for 2 seconds and shuts off intermittently, the gauges read high and low pressure normal so it's not like it's low on coolant. Any suggestions?

Check the harness, any relays melted? Are you getting power to the fans? Is the coolant level where it should be, no air bubbles or anything?

I think he meant refrigerant when he said coolant.

That being said, like Chris suggested, check the relays and see if you just got a bunk one. If good, recheck your wiring and make sure you have good grounds. Once you installed, did you check for full operation? Also I remember from a separate issue I had in the past, that BBP said that the addition of the E-fans may cause an excessive draw on the alt. resulting in an underpower issue, which could be causing the compressor to cut out to save itself from burning out. So it may have enough power to run the fans with no issue when only the demand to cool the engine is present, but not enough to handle the additional draw of the A/C. What size Alt are you running? Do you have any other added electrical?

Outside of that it could just be coincidental and a compressor issue.

Yes sorry I did mean to say refrigerant not coolant. I'll check everything mentioned I did swap to a bigger alt 145 amp.

Is it blowing hot on one side and cool on the other? Mine did this. I have the digital controls. There is a way to reset it if this is the case.
This is what I did to fix it.

Adjusted the passenger side to full hot and the drivers side to full cold and put the system in auto mode.

Then, turned off the ignition and turned it back on. In auto mode you will see the fan speed auto adjusting up and down.

Then, I reversed the settings, drivers full hot (90) and the passenger full cold (60). Put it in auto mode and turn off the ignition and then back on.

Thats more of a blend door issue. His compressor isn't staying on. It may explain the warm air if that was the only symptom, but not the disengagement of the a/c clutch.

I have no amp. Today i tried to jump start the compressor with wire and it won't even engage. Checked comp fuses and relay and all look good. Assuming now as mentioned before could be coincidence the compressor went out during the swap.
