Some of you have probably seen that I made a seat of the pants purchase and picked up an h2.
It's only been driven 400mi in the past 2.5 years.
So I'm looking to flush and replace all fluids.
The orange Dexcool is still the coolant I see, but I'm wondering if I can put in the cat ec-1 rated red coolant. It's non silicate based and has a recommended interval of 600k miles. It's what I use in my diesels and it's a great coolant. I just didn't know if it would mesh. So I'll probably stick with Dexcool but o figured I'd ask. Also, any old zerex, or is there a preferred brand?

I always get the prestone dexcool and never had a problem yet. But Im sure cat coolant would be fine too

Do you plan on driving it 600000 miles?

I would suspect 100k dexcool would fit your needs just fine.

I think it'll be just fine. But people have been saying stay away from it. But Imo, if it has lasted 12 years and 140k miles, I'm sure fresh replacement fluid will suit me just fine.
I was just looking at possible replacement options to it. But I'll stick with it. Don't fix somethin that ain't broke.

I have yet to personally have an issue with Dexcool, so why not save yourself a headache
