Over the winter I used Nelson harness with my e fan/34" rad swap. Now that it's hot out my AC is blowing warm air and clutch engages for 2 seconds and shuts off intermittently, the gauges read high and low pressure normal so it's not like it's low on coolant. Any suggestions?
I have some NBS parts that I am not doing anything with, so they are up for sale. I have a complete OEM E-fan harness from a 2006 truck. This is a direct fit for any 03-04 to add E-Fans or you can wire up an additional relay so that this will work on a 99-02 truck. This has the relay block that...

Sitting here with lots of nervous energy today and I realized I never started a build thread ( not that I've done a whole lot in comparison to some), plus I figure it'll give me a place to post up questions/things that wont get lost as easy.

About a year or so ago, I replaced my alternator pulley with a smaller one to gain a little more amperage at idle (since I had converted my truck to E-fans).
This ended up putting some more slack in the serpentine belt. So much slack that on cold mornings I would sometimes hear the belt...
Not sure if this is in right section.. Mods feel free to move.
2000 silverado. Added 34" radiator and 05+ oem fans with a Nelson harness. Truck doesn't want to idle from the alternator not keeping up. I have an ASP overdrive alternator pulley and I believe it's the original 105 amp. Had it...
I have a OEM E-fan harness and relay block from a 2006 Sierra. The 06 fan plugs were removed and LS1 style fan pigtails were soldered on in their place. This is not the entire core support harness, only the wiring for the fans. Both ECM pins are intact, they were carefully removed from the ECM...
Because all of the pictures won't copy over if I copy the text as far as I know, here's the link to the start of my build thread from the day I got the truck to last week:

Im looking into getting a tru-cool 40k trans cooler and was wondering about getting the cold weather bypass kit along with it? What does it do and with me living in south GA (Very close to FL) would I need that and right now I have a 4L60e but will be upgrading to a 4L80e so I can swap it right...
Just joined here to steal all of your ideas and knowledge... Awesome site so far! Do you fellow DFWers do any cruising? I need to get all my parts put on first though :)
Could someone color match the bowtie, and one with it blacked out, also black the lower valance and color match the top. possibly do a brow tint like this:
This will be a slow build so be gentle.

cai,e-fans,full exhaust with 22" magnaflow dumped

I have been searching for a while now of a better way to do Electric Fans and think I finally stumbled across something worth a damn so figured I would share! :big_banana_Dance:
I got all this info from PT.net- Heres the link...
Plan on doing this next, what can you guys tell me about the swap, from what i understand 05s come with a bigger radiator that will bolt right in, as well as e-fans.
few questions
1. what 05+ trucks do these come in, 1500s 5.3? or just 6.0 trucks? i'm assuming 6.0s were the trucks with oil...
Ok. So Heres my write up on Installing e-fans on an OBS with a clutch fan.
First i drained my fluid
Now take off the shroud and get ready to remove the fan.
I used a big crescent and a rubber mallet while a ratchet strap held the fan from spinning. Took a few hits to knock it loose...

I'm on a couple of the other forums and figured I might as well sign up here too.
I drive a 2002 GMC Sierra 2500HD SLE 6.0 4wd Crew Cab Long Bed. It has a handful of mods, but not a whole lot that is noteworthy. I retrofitted the headlights, as you can see down below. The stock muffler has...
I have the original fan shroud from my 01 5.3l Suburban. My truck came equipped with the larger 34" radiator because of the towing package and rear AC. This fan shroud is what you need if you are upgrading your 99-04 NBS truck to the larger radiator but you do not
want E-fans. Just want this...
