Console thingy removal

Trying to put a USB port close to my seat due to the fact that iPod/iPhone chords are so fucking short (have a pioneer 4300 so it has the 5 ft USB chord). Thinking about running all the wires under the carpet then under the seat and inside my center console/storage thus having a USB port in my console.

Need to remove it to cut holes and such.

Truck is an 07 nnbs Silverado w/t so it has the little flip-up console/storage thingy.

What's it called? Google'ing "center console removal" only brings up LTZ shit.

Ideas and help are greatly appreciated.

Gotta take out the seats as the jump seat brackets bolt on the same studs under the seat brackets

I just want to take the plastic tray (2 cup holders and storage space) out so I can cut a hole.

Guess I should have specified.

Oh, hmm not sure about that..may just pop out, that's how it is in nbs consoles
Never messed with a nnbs console though

I couldn't figure out how to get the shit out without ripping it apart. I took mine out to use in my new console

It's already in my glovebox.

IPod is full so I have more songs on my iPhone but it's such a pain in the dick to use my phone and only have 3ft of chord coming from my glovebox.

I figured a USB port in my console would be the perfect solution but fuck all that.

Your phone connects to it through bluetooth, and then it connects to the headunit through the 3.5mm plug. I had just the phone connected to the headunit with the 3.5mm plug but when people called me they couldn't hear my voice. The adapter has a Mic built into it so now they will be able to hear me with no issues. I have a car dock that is on left side of the windshield and it sucks having it speaker when I'm on the highway.
