mines that way a little bit, but fuck it, the projector covers more ground so i can have the highs pointed up a little bit.
I just tore it open and re adjusted the retro. Put two washers on each side, on the bottom of each plate to push the projector up so its more level with the highbeam. Results were fantastic. Now I have usable halogen highbeam again, and less of a headlight gap against the grille. The hotspot for the highbeams is right above the cutoff, perfect spot for them. I also widened the beam since the denalis only adjust vertically, I placed one washer on each outer side of the housing, at the point where the plate attaches to the housing to spread the beams out more to get more width. Worked swimmingly and sealed up just the same with silicone.
I also did some color tuning in the projectors. Disassembled them and used aluminum tape to block the squirrel finders and the spaced out the lens on one projector to get more of a color band. Results were also great I have more color then before and at a distance the blue/purple band looks awesome.
I have this retro so dialed in now I'm not sure if I wanna tear it all apart to install the 7.0 versions.
New bulbs though next week since one of the return wires is cracked on one of my bulbs.
live from the gutter trash.
