I bought a Mcgauphys 2/4 drop and it has the 16+ spindles months ago and I'm thinking of installing it. But I have a few ?'s

I was reading the instructions and it says to torque the stud ( that holds the hub/bearing on ) to 75ftlbs........ if you know or have these I'm sure you known what I'm talking about... Maybe I'm wrong but that seems excessive to me. I could understand the nut but.. am I missing something .. I already don't like these spindles. I should have bought the Belltechs, and I still might...

Thanks for any info you can give me about these stupid spindles..

I followed the instructions for my 16+ spindles and they've been on for 3.5 years without issue. I have an 04 rcsb.

I don't recall specifically, but I know that if it was in the instructions to do so, I did it.

I have 16+ McGs on my 02 RCSB, torque to specs with zero issues. they have been installed since 2012. The hardest part of the install is removing the lower ball joint for the spacer, if you choose to use it. I actually removed the spacer to adjust my ride height the way I wanted it. so I basically went to a 3" drop with Belltech springs. alignment was easy with minimal adjustments and you retain a good amount of steering radius, which tends to be the biggest complaint about drop spindles. there is also some shaving you can do to the spindle to gain even more steering radius. I have been completely happy with them. just wish they came powder coated.
