A couple years ago I sold my 03 1500HD to my brother in law. As much as I loved driving my little 335i I decided I really missed having a full size truck. I decided I was going to buy a Yukon XL Denali, but then I came across this.

It's an 06 Suburban LTZ and for those who don't know the 06 Suburban LTZ was a one year only Sub with the LQ4 and AWD basically a Suburban Denali. It has some of the Z71 exterior bits but painted black vs gray, and the roof rack has chrome. Originally it came with the SSS wheels and chrome side steps, but this one happens to be missing the wheels and steps. It also has some carbon fiber interior trim

I'm trying to decide what direction I want to go with her customization: street or off-road? If I go with the "street" look I will definitely get new SSS reps

Also after years of sitting at my parents house I finally took possession of my Grandpas old 77 Chevy K20. So I'm looking forward to restoring her. I have already started replacing some items. It only has 31k miles on it but since it's hardly been driven, basically everything leaks so it's going to take quite a bit of work.

I've seen a few of those LTZs, never knew they they had LQ4s. Sweet rides on both accounts. I vote street burb, whats your plan for the 77?

Yeah me either. I thought it was a typo when I saw it in CL, but then I looked it up and sure enough.

My plan with the 77 is to restore it to original with some minor customization. I plan on keeping the exterior color but will have it re-painted one day. I'm also going to keep the funky Mandarin Orange interior now that I found a source for parts.

I have already put a new stereo in it and plan on getting a new dash pad in the next couple weeks

It's going to be a fun project. It was my grandpas truck and I have lots of fond memories of this truck. I hope to pass it on to my son one day.

That 77 is sick, I love original squarebodys. Wouldn't do anything but clean it up and keep it fairly stock.

That LTZ is pretty sweet. I saw you post about it over on TahoeYukonForum about it. That carbon fiber looking dash bezel and door switch bezels seem to have ONLY come on the 06 LTZ. Then they seemed to have robbed parts from other GMT800 vehicles like the Silverado SS 20's, and the Escalade door handles. And are you sure it's a LQ4 and not an LQ9? The drivetrain seems to be basically identical to what you would see in an Escalade or Denali, so I would assume that it would be an LQ9 just like those are.

The Denali is a LQ4. the escalade, SSS and VortecMaxx are the only ones that got the LQ9

Both look good, i say down with the burb up with the square. Mild drop on burb with either SS reps either Silverado or Trollblazer and small lift on square like 3-4" on period looking wheels and a 33 TSL or Bogger keep it usable but more awesome

IMO on K20 plans. 16-17"x10" wheel on a 33" TSL would be tits.
