I know there are special products for this and certain ways but, this is for those who want to remove rain spots off your windows without spending a lot of money or having to order anything.
This works great.

Things you will need.
1-drill
2-Simple wool pad that attaches to a drill
3-Meguires Compound
Compound and wool pad I picked up at a local Orilley's
also can be found at auto zone. All under 20$

1- wash windows
2- dampen wool pad
3- apply a good amount of compound to wool pad
4- smear over window start slow so it doesn't sling all over truck
5- work in circular patters at a high speed
6- wash off with cloth and water
7- make sure to wipe off all excess that was slung onto rubber or plastic, if it dries its a pain to get off.
8- Repeat as many times needed

NOTE: I would not recommend this product for its intended purpose, it leaves stripes and swirls behind. Unless your familiar with buffing a vehicle.

However It does work well with removing small scratches out the clear coat.
Apply small amount to outer edge of wool pad, smear over scratch and work in small circles over scratch.
Work very lightly.

Any other ideas, questions, comments just post
as well as any before and after pictures for I have none.

Thanks,
Samuel

muriatic acid, 0000 steel wool, razorblade, clay bar, any polish, whether by hand, orbital, or rotary, all work.

if you buffed with that thing and compound, you better know your paint. you can burn the edges with a wool pad and compound very easily. the meguires doesnt cut as much as a normal compound (automagic compound is almost a paste and feels like sand). if you want to get small scratches out, automagic gs1 with a foam pad or 3m fenesse-II with a foam pad.

I have some hard water spots on my driver window. Used Meg's compound followed by Adams swirl and haze remover then revive polish. All by hand was able to knock them down some but some stubborn ones are still here. Don't know what to try next
