One thing I found odd with the Ford is the lack of power seats. This is also a pain for me because how tall I am and these seats sit unusually high. This causes e some serious neck pain with how I have to sit to drive. Remember this is a work truck and I did not sit in it prior to purchasing.

I searched it out and found an XLT 10 way full seat brackets with the motors. Ordered and I will have a local upholstery shop swap the fabric and pad over and I will need to figure out a way to swap harnesses to make it work. But one step at a time.

thats the downside to the stx unfortunately. its basically an XL.
It’s the only real issue I see with the STX so far. The options inside are exactly what I’d choose. Especially with the console.

After looking at floor harnesses online it looks like the harnesses are 100% identical just more wiring obviously on the seat sockets. So I might try to run an auxiliary power wire to the socket so it will allow the seats to work. Hoping they’re not BCM controlled and this will work.

well thats good, thats not to bad then. Ford's options are interesting to say the least. i've been looking for 150's for my dad and of course the options are all over the place. How are you liking the 2.7? i havent driven one yet.

i don't know if the seats are BCM controlled. but i wouldnt be surprised in the slightest. the new trucks across the board are super techy.

So far I like the 2.7, It’s got plenty of power but most of it is all higher end when the turbos spool. I love now that I can hear the wastegate when I let off. I’m still getting 23mpg as well and I drive it pretty hard.

Leveling kit and tint coming soon. Sadly I got my company door logos that I’ll probably put on tomorrow. I kept them black to hopefully blend in some.

Power seat frame came in. I immediately took it to the upholstery shop to get it switched over.

The seat is perfect. The upholstery shop did a good job.

you can see the console height difference so far. Its not wired yet but set in a neutral position so i could at least drive it until tonight.

Tonight i plan to wire it so i can fully adjust the seat. As of right now even with it a little close to the dash i have tons more headroom. I can actually sit up straight and not have to position myself oddly just to drive.

wired the seat last night. Ford uses the Micro fuses so i had to snag a fuse tap and ran the wire under the floor and up to the seat. Seat operates as it should now and i have a lot more space, very happy with this mod.

just throw a maxtrac spindle on it IMO. Kinda wish i went this route as it gives you ability to run a wider 33" setup or jump up to 35's. If i ever decide to bump up to a 285/55 id need them. Plus, stock geometry.

Also need to remove my snow plow, 5yrs and still there lol.

Ordered my FORD OEM trailer brake module to add to the truck. It didnt have it prior but its pre-wired. I have to jump into the Ford system and turn it on to read properly but it is more or less plug and play.
