New project, which you guys may find more desirable than my truck, since us longed guys get no love here lmao...

Updated 1/8/18 since Photobucket doesn't work anymore, here is an original picture of the truck in it's previous life as well as the reg cab before it's "makeover". I started this thread way before I got the truck off of him.

FullSizeRender.jpg.jpeg

Also: Shoutout to these two clean trucks for being inspiration.

Anyway here is my dads '02 2500HD CCSB Silvy
-6.0
-Floor shift 4WD
-80,xxx miles
-Base vynil/roll up interior
-Bought new by him solely as a work truck

I have been persuading him to clean it up for quite a while or me sell my halfton and buy it... I have started gathering parts.

So far I've only done a few things while home from school.

Parts I have:
-Black LoPro Toolbox
-Clear Lights
-Colormatched the bowtie
-Mirrors with Chrome caps
-20x10 Weld Dune 8s
-Paintable Handles (doors and tailgate latch)
-1-3" keys for the front
-1.5" blocks for the back
-Bilstein 5100s x4
-Redesigned GM Cab mounts (to fix gap)
-New lower valence painted black
-Fog lights
-Pads & Rotors
-Fuel Pump

Any advice/input you guys have will be appreciated!

Your plans sound good. I love dunes. Definitely cm the flares if you want to keep them and cm the bumper cap for sure.

Small update, moving snow at work has kept me busy to say the least. This past week the coolant steam tube between the heads began leaking, replaced it with a Holley part because GM discontinued the factory part. Ended up doing plugs, wires and an oil change while I was in there and had the garage heated, as one of the plug wires had a corroded contact on the coil side.

Also since the first of September I have replaced the starter, one of the studs broke off of the solenoid, started arcing and was not making contact. I have taken apart the ABS module and re-soldered the loose pins because I had the C0265 code. And I have replaced the first two O2 sensors following codes and reduced engine power.

Good News: The truck has been hauling sleds for my friends and I this season without any issues.

Did not end up taking a lot of pictures of the wiring for the overhead console. I ordered one of the black Aluminum blanks, and we put in 5 switches and a digital volt meter.

Light bar and horns mounted.
