Figured I'd make up a small "build thread" for the 05' GMC Yukon.

Started out with the wife driving this from 2005-2008.... 01' Tahoe LT.

The 01' Tahoe was getting up in miles and we wanted to find a little bit newer NBS SUV with 3rd row seating. Found this loaded Carbon Metallic/Dark Spiral Gray 05' GMC Yukon SLT at a local dealer for a great price with only 58k on it. Had everything we were looking for.... Gray leather, Bose/6 disc, sun/entertainment pkg. (sunroof/2nd row buckets), 3rd row, etc. Only thing it was lacking was it had stock 16s instead of the 17s.

Dealer shots...

Serious "Autoride" rake...

Colormatched the GMC emblem. Added clear corners and cleared OEM headlights.

Picked up (5) NNBS polished Tahoe 20s cheap.... But never got a chance to run them. Ended up flipping them for ONLY a $10 profit....

Got tired of the nasty rake.... Ordered McGaughy's 3" rear drop spring kit.

Installed... Went from 37" rear fender height to 33 3/4" on stock 265/70/16s. Completely decranked the front stock keys. No bolts. Got it tinted along the way and installed a 14" Magnaflow into the stock exhaust system.

Picked up some NNBS GMC 20s/tires for a good deal off CL.

Thanks! :shake:

Made another thread concerning my current situation.... Quick version: got wife a newer ride, I'm contemplating which vehicle I keep as my DD.... My RCSB, or this Yukon?

Been a unanimous decision thus far; keep the Yukon!

So, I'll continue on with this thread, hopefully, with new additions as I turn this into my "new" DD!

I wanna candy the tails..... Or, just buy ones off eBay at some point. All of my past candy experiences haven't been the best. A lot of times it seems to "shrink" and get little cracks in the candied finish. My HD ones turned out the best this past time, but up close you can see the flaws.

Do like the loaded interior on this thing! if I bought another NBS CC someday, this would've been the exact interior I'd want!
