Beware: Distinct Fabrications out of Mckinney, Texas

Damn, shitty luck man. Just spread the word far and wide to let people know how he does business and that he should be avoided. Hopefully it all works out well through usaa.

Found a guy online that is having problems with him too. I tried to get him to post over here about is experience, hopefully he will.

I'm that guy. Lol
My dealing with distinct hasn't been smooth either, but I'm not ready to out him on blast just yet. I ordered arms and spindles from him on July 17 bc he said he had them on the shelf ready to ship. About a week later a box showed up but only had spindles in it, so I am still waiting on arms. He has been very hard to get ahold of. It hopefully that is just because he is busy. I will keep you guys updated with how things play out.

your truck... HNNG

I had a less than satisfactory transaction with hector 4 years ago. I've since been calling around to some others I know dealt with him and it seems that everyone is having issues with him.
I figured since it was an in shop job it would have been better but evidently not. Up until Jared asking me and Jason freeman telling me about you ordering arms Travis, I hadn't dealt with him in 4 years. Cody Eastman had dealt with him and got all his stuff but I think it took longer than hector said.

This is fucking horrible and it looks like another barnyard customs, Dallas hotrod parts type business.

Btw Jared I was talking to the guys that worked on my truck, and said they had or have 3 trucks from them that were hakf ass done, talk to them about it, they'll give you full story on that

Hector called me tonight. Said he is trying to make it right. Saidbhe would refund my $150. And that he would try to get with the other guys insurance.

I've been dicked around by mmw and ekstensive before this so it's nothing new. I'm keeping my fingers crossed he really will send me my arms.

I would just modify your ART lower arms man. I know the issue with the lower ball joint you had but that's the part you replace anyway. My buddy Andy Cook was looking for a way to fix his front suspension way back before any of these kits were out on the market. We were talking back and forth on ideas. I did some calling around and research and heard about some guys flipping the lower ball joint and raising the uppers somewhere around 3.5-4.5" depending on wheel size and the lower arm. I tossed around the idea with him and he called Max Fish to double check the geometry and he said that should work awesome.

went and bought some old 67-68 c10 lower arms and cut the ends off and grafted them onto his art lowers and swapped to some stock spindles. Bam, with his 3" raised uppers this gave him perfect geometry and has been cruising that bitch all over the country.

Well, USAA called today, and up to this point, Allstate still hasn't accepted responsibility. I'm beginning to think something is fishy with the insurance on the other guy. It usually doesn't take 4 days when someone admits fault for insurance to issue liability.

The USAA investigator stated that Hector does not have insurance. So if that's the case, I will now be out $150 (for the services NOT given to me, my tubs) and $250 (for my deductible). I do believe USAA is going to issue payment to fix my truck now, and either go after Allstate, or sue the parties involved. I am not sure exactly how all that works.

Fuck, even my hit and run on base years ago worked out better than this. A guy smashed up my wife's Corolla and dipped out. Someone got a description of his car and left me a note. His lifted redneck Chevy was an easy target, they caught him, and he fixed it, and had to pay my deductible back to me. BAM, done way easier than this situation.

As long as usaa shells out the $ first your truck to be fixed let them fk with hector. Sounds like you'll be alright

Well, my truck will get fixed Zach, but I will be out the $400 until I am reimbursed. I decided to go ahead and have USAA make payment. So I will have to cover the deductible for now, I'm not waiting around weeks for them to track all this shit down. I need my truck.
