Flower beds? Never heard of that, wtf you texans doing with shingles in your flower beds?

have you ever used that? Yeah, it works for like a month or two...then it gets penetrated. We started using this in areas we didn't want to fool with picking weeds all the time.

And they were gone an hour after I posted.
 
Actually no, I haven't. That's the wifeys job, she has always just used two layers and not had a problem with weeds. Makes sense to use shingles if you have them though.
 
Cousin is a roofer, I had a ton of left over shingles I was keeping, but we dig up and replace plants and bushes, so using them would be a pain, there are better suited for areas where you wont be replanting shit. I plan to re do my shit again when it cools down more. Putting in a 25' flag pole, flagstones, and new plants
