GM Tech 2 Clone

I just purchased a Tech 2 clone on Aliexpress. It was $295 shipped. Took about 3 days to get here from Hong Kong. So far I am thoroughly I'm pressed with the unit. It came with multiple adapters. The only thing I had to buy locally was a usb-to-serial adapter so that I can connect the Tech 2 with TIS2000. As of today, I have reprogrammed my BCM and Cluster. :woot: The only issue was the copy of TIS2000 that came with the tech2 didn't work so I had to find the software elsewhere. Turning out to be a great investment.

To get folding mirrors working you are going to have to find a vin of a truck with similar options as yours plus the folding mirror option. Only other option is to call techline and get the VCI numbers but I doubt they will help you.

Could this be used to set up remote start on my truck? When I bought it the dealer gave me 2 key fobs. 1 with remote start and one without. I kno my truck is prewired for it. I went to the gmc dealer to get it programmed and they said it'd be 400 to program it an I'll get 2 new fobs

It could be but I only have the software to support up to a 2008 silverado/sierra.
