I have these on the hose/washer, because i always foam the truck then fill my buckets while the foam is doing its work, and then hooking the hose back up, saves a lot of time

that way i dont have to go all the way back to the spicket to turn the water on and off every time i disconnect from anything.

That would be "Optimum No Rinse" wash. Its a rinse less wash that saves a LOT of time when washing. Plus you can dilute it and make waterless wash with it as well, to keep a bottle in your truck for quick spray and wipe situations if a bird craps on your freshly washed truck or something like that. I have the Adams version of it, and its awesome. Hell, for all I know, its the same exact stuff, lol. Ots the same color and eeverything. When I run out, I plan on ordering a bottle of ONR from Amazon. With Amazon prime its like $18 for a 32 oz bottle. I heard that you can also dilute it and use it as an interior dressing and cleaner, some folks have used it as a tire shine, and some people even clan glass and chrome with it.
Look up the Adams video on YouTube about rinseless wash, and he shows how to use it.

I'll double the sentiment as ONR or any rinse free type wash, has it's place. I'd never use it on a car that's seen water, or more than two days of dust. But hey, that's just me. I've worked with about every brand out there save for two. NO, they are not all the same. Within 5% of each other? Probably.
 
What should I do in between washes? Washed it Saturday. Morning dew is a mf'er out in the sticks

Sealant, Polish,wax. What order, what products?

I've always just washed, clayed, and waxed with department store equipment.

wash, clay, polish, sealant. i have layered wax over sealant, and thats ok but not needed.

Wax isnt as tough as sealant and breaks down quicker.

Sealant doesnt always give as much depth to the paint as wax.

If you put sealant over wax, the wax still breaks down faster and takes the sealant with it.
 
The sealant may or may not be taken with it. It depends on the sealant used. Some, like certain acrylic sealants, take 12-15 acidic washes (no pH balanced) to strip. If this is what's under the wax, then the wax will eventually just wash/wear off. Depending on the quality of wax, combined with the elements, and also where the vehicle is stored, all determine at that point, what is used to clean it with, how long it will last. Keep in mind, most sealants being used now are 6-8 week (although they claim 4 mos) sealants...more than likely yes, those puppies are being "washed" off with the wax.

Say you have a.....P1SC 2014 Silvy Black, that's daily driven. Say you live in Texas. Say you used AP's Paste Wax on it After someone had laid a nice coat of acrylic sealant down. Garaged nightly.

I'd give that wax (that's surfing the sealant which is actually bonded to the clear coat) 6-8 weeks tops.
 
So sealant and polish recommendations then lol. Gracias. Also I can put sealant over polished aluminum correct, or is there a special type for metals (gotta keep dem welds shinny)?
 
sealant is the same. dont let them fool you with wheel sealant.

i like shine supply polish, but i have heard good things about car pro, and wolfgang makes some nice stuff too.

sealants im out of the loop on lately. although the carpro same used on the yukon xl detail looks like it works great.
 
Sealant--that depends on how often you want to re-apply it ideally, what you are using to wash with, etc.

Polish--I've heard great things about Shine Supply, Menzerna, Optimum, and Rupes. I personally use something I don' want to advertise....they aren't a great company. Some of their stuff you can find at Wal-Mart, but the stuff I use of theirs is the Professional Line.

I have a few brands in my cabinet I haven't tried yet. CARPro being one of them. I use a few of their other things, and I am very impressed.
