just like the title says. i daily a 2003 s10 2.2L 5 speed manual. i can get a tune for $200 from my local tuner who tuned my racetruck silveraydo. The s10 2.2L puts down somewhere in the ballpark of 85-90rwhp stock. So basically i can run faster than it. It was getting 25mpg, i gutted the cat and it jumped to 27mpg. Is a tune worth it? think i could see 29mpg or better?

im probabaly gonna put a header on it regardless since its $100 with the downpipe and my current flexpipe is leaking.

No. The guy was talking about maybe 10-15hp and maybe 1mpg. Didn't seem worth it

shit if thats what i get ill do it. hell 10 hp gain on a 90hp truck is 11.1% and 15hp gain would be 16.6%. that would be extremely noticeable

i know theres a guy on youtube that made 85rwhp stock, and with intake, header, tune he made like 115hp. yea thats slow as shit but big difference from what it was and he was getting 29 city 33 highway mpg

do it. you'll need a tune anyways for the EGR delete that will happen when you put the header on. I put a header on mine and didn't tune it and it ran poopy sometimes. Header and downpipe made a "big" difference though in means of acceleration. i consistently got 29mpg highway with 200k miles, but mine was a reg cab so a little less weight. not sure if you have a bed cover or not, but a light weight cover will help mpg too. short throws make it pretty fun too.

Maybe. What's this shit I hear about air injection on 00+. Do they all have that. I haven't even looked. Mine is a 03
Wish I had an extended cab s-10 for a daily sometimes
It can be fun driving and extended cab manual snail

I think I'm gonna go by the junkyard and get a Cavalier throttle body one of these days. I hear it's a worthwhile upgrade on the 2.2

Officially not touching the motor ever....I'll deal with the 90hp cuz when I get my own place and get settled and save a little, it's getting either the 4.8 out of my Silverado or a stock 5.3 pullout
