There's a new company in town that does vinyl wraps for boats, cars, whatever... dont know much about the stuff but know its cheaper than painting an entire vehicle, anyone have any experience with this stuff or info on it? The camaro's paint is getting pretty bad, will probably just save up a little for a paint job but jw if anyone had good advice

I have seen some wraps look good and some look like shit. IIRC the flat colors usually look best when doing wraps.

lol a 2-3k paint job is gonna be fucking brutal, you guys amuse me. Id love to come see how"nice" peoples cars actually are if were rocking 3k paint jobs.

That goes without saying up here B, but south of the border it's cheaper.

I too would be interested to see... maybe go to Michigan and get my truck painted when it needs it :hmm:

not all places gouge prices, 2-3k paint job around here is nice, not some fgt ass maaco shit! Let's not forget you are in Canada, and let's also not forget, it varies state by state, city by city.

If you do a wrap, do satin white. There is a WS6 around me that had it done and it looks awesome :imo:

I havent heard of any places that do a 'nice' job for under 3k...maybe a quick original color respray yeah, but a full on in/out (door jambs, engine bay, etc.) strip, bodywork, prep, paint and clear, and finish will set you back more than 3k.

also, wtf i thought it would be WAY cheaper than 1.5k for a vinyl wrap? damn. If you do a wrap, do one close to your OEM color, theres a truck rolling around here that was originally red - and he got a flat black wrap - looks like shit because you can see the red paint under fenders, gaps and etc. where the wrap did not cover.

No one said a "full on" job, but you show me a quality place that wont do more than just a single stage for under $3k and turn out good work at the same time, one would assume she is just painting due to bad paint, not a color change, so no need to do all that, think about it, if she is just "wrapping" the car, she isn't worried about the jambs or engine bay or hatch area...

I based my assumption off those facts.

Paint job prices.

I am aware you can't full tell how good/shitty it is...but if you look, you can find hookups as well. I actually know a painter in Balch Springs, but his last job was horrible, he has fallen ill, and let his brother take over...3 years ago I could have got you a great paint job for that price. My dad has had several cars painted by him, ones that he flips. For $3k you shit would look good, got to remember, parts alone is not expensive, it's the labor you pay for...do all the prep work and you can DEFINITELY get a good paint job for around $2k.

she knows her way around cars, or obviously someone does, take out the motor, take the "roller" in on a trailer, and BAM
