What compressor to buy for house

My mom wants to buy a compressor for my dad for the coming father's day and I was wondering on any suggestion. It mainly will be use for the cars and and things around the house. I was thinking something around 30 gallons, what brands does anyone suggest?

I was thinking craftsman, due that he has a lot of their products and he has not had problems with them. My dad really takes care of his stuff. Thanks for the response

Craftsman for sure. Just make sure he bleeds it regularly. Water inside will f it up

Craftsman then get a IR electric bleed valve thingy.

It has a timer that blows off 2 seconds of air/water from the drain-cock once a day.

honestly the 21 gallon Harbor freight special has done me well. Kinda noisey but if you don't get a belt driven one they all are. For that money I would get this. Even though its HF I bet it would outlive that oilfree one for less $ and better specs.

Exactly what we have. Comes with plastic tubing you can run outside.

I ust got an electric 20 gallon husky, and its great. I know its not a gas powered one, but atleast i dont have to put gas in it all the time. Its portable to, what i mean by that its slim and compact, and roles, i lke it alot. Coming from a guy that hates electric ones.

Bumping this up, Im lookin for one that can run impacts and grinders from time to time - thats about it.

Anyone having good luck with Husky and Craftsman? These are about the run of the mill ones listed on CL locally...what do you guys think?
