New Roads La.
So i bought two Sundown SD2-10s DVC 4ohm

They need a 4.75" mounting depth. Id like to go under the seat down fire.
I ordered a subthump, then realized shortly after their box is limited to a 6" diameter magnet the subs have a 7.25" OD magnet so I got a refund.

Question, do any of you know of a prefab under the seat crewcab box that will possibly house these?
Lookin around before I have to go with a custom box

Well fuck, I was going to do that setup, guess I'll just have to mod box like I did last one
If u any good with fiberglass could probably do

Subthump guys didnt want to work with me :bird:

I called Sound off Audio after reading good reviews he knew exactly what sub i had when i told him the magnet OD and mounting depth. Hes going to modify his 03-07c crewcab box slightly to make it fit he said hes already done 1 like this for a customer and it worked fine. Just sucks its a 2 week wait time. I will post pictures when I receive the enclosure.

Honestly would just save you time and money and build a box imo.
I would but lately i'v been super busy and honestly dont have the time to build such a particular box which is why im willing to pay the price to have a nice one made for these particular subs.

whats wrong with 4.75"? thats what SD has on their site. Going to be tight under seat but do able specially if i life the seat a little

I have a Audio Que 1200 (now known as sound qubed)
so it should be perfect on these two subs imo.
Id love to go to a "bigger" sub but am limited on space lol

"limited" is relative tho

those SD's will treat you good. Just make sure youre not touching carpet

:word: He told me when he builds for the SD he likes to allow for 2" of excursion space and will do so. He said I should NOT have to lift the seat as hes done one box for the exact build already and didnt have to but i may. Regardless thats one thing that i wont have happen is the subs slapping on anything. Ill shim the box and seat slightly if needed, but as he said i shouldnt.

you can also cut the padding out and the seat brackets will hold the carpet down a lil farther from the sub. You might be able to stack some washers between the brackets and floor pan too...no much thread but if you use a mechanical lock nut, it might be possible to raise it some more.

I had issues with mine. Space is very hard to achieve. I can show you my box later. Good luck on your build. I'd like to see the results. I will try to adjust my box accordingly and run another sub later down the road.

Fuck it, just do a blow through. 6 18s or go home lol.

I had 3 ontop seat set up including 2 15s back in the high school days
I enjoy audio but not that much anymore i guess lol

Yes, totally agree! First under seat/hidden setup for me and it's hard to find what works with what and room to do anything even though my subs are shallow
thanks, I will post pictures of box and installed/fitment when it comes (2 week build time) so if i haven't posted back by then with pictures remind me.

the sd-2 isnt classified as a shallow mount but it is more shallow than the rest of the lines. What are the specs on the box?

And like boosted said, building a box yourself would have been better, its extremely easy
