It can be done, it may take a decent bit of clearancing but I’m sure it can be done. There’s a few guys running 305/45/22s on a 2/3 and even 3/5. There’s even a guy that’s closer to 4/6 on 315/35/22s

Good deal. I thought it could work from what I’ve read...don’t want to go much lower on tire profile bc it’s my daily.

About 350 miles on the trans rebuild. Converter is bad. So I'll be pulling it soon as I get the replacement from the trans guy. Back to driving the truck lol

Welp. About 2 hrs into spindles and chill, I’m at the same place I was 40min in. Got the upper BJ loose on the pass side, the lower WILL NOT let go. It’s seized in there and I don’t have a BFH or a pickle fork. I’ll continue tomorrow after I get more tools

Left the brakes and all together on the drivers side to help weight wise, still couldn’t get the lower BJ to pop loose. Stupid truck

I’m not changing balljoints, I’m putting on drop spindles. The balljoint won’t come out of the spindle. New arms are on the list tho, my bushings are shot come to find out

Huck, use a socket with a nut and a bolt. Put it in between the upper and lower ball joints and use a wrench to tighten the nut. It’s kinda hard to visualize but put the socket on the opposite of the one you want to release (upper in your case), thread the nut up the bolt, then put the threads of the bolt into the back (3/8” wrench side) of the socket. Adjust the nut till the head of the bolt is pushing on the ball joint. When it’s tight, turn the nut so that the bolt goes out of the socket. You are effectively using the upper control arm to push against the lower ball joint. I’ve done this many times and it always works.
