Was looking at the little things you plug into your obd2 port that keeps the truck in 8cyl mode. That may or may not be what you're talking about.

I'd get one and just see what it does to my mpg. Most of my driving is 55mph back roads and the truck is in 4cyl probably 50% of the time.
