I recently purchased a 2017 Silverado 1500 (5.3L) Crew Cab with stock 22's. I'm confident that I'll be safe with lowering 3/5......and I'm fairly sure that a 4/6 will be okay too. But.....I'm not 100% sure. Has anyone had any ride or rubbing issues with a 4/6 with stock 22's? I plan on bagging the rear with auto level as well....just to keep a nice level ride with an occasional nominal load in the back. Any information that could be provided will be helpful, and appreciated.

I got a Belltech 4/7 drop you can get for super cheap. Just took it off my 2016. I ran aftermarket 22s and factory 20s with no fitment issues.

If you’re going to have any weight at all in the bed, anything past 5”, I’d run a notch. My truck at 6” rode on the frame with 5 sheets of drywall in the bed. Either a notch or helper bags.

Is that Belltech the one that's.....for lack of a better word, adjustable? 3-4 front, and I guess 5-7 rear? For what kind of control arm? Aluminum or iron?

Yep. 2” spindles and then the struts are adjustable so you could do 3” or 4” drop. Rear is 5-7. For cast steel arms.

Belltech 992SP is the part number for the kit.
