As I always say each brand has its own flaws. They are all junk it’s just a matter of what you can tolerate. Gm cut pdi (pre delivery inspection) labor times to not include drive time because of the excellent quality control from the factory. Also cutting warranty times across the board. Which hurts the techs all across the country. I see a lot of grease the wheels posts from experienced techs leaving dealership life because of it. Where I’m at, I make my money off used cars and customer pay jobs, so I’m ok with since I don’t do much of it anyways

Soooo,

Even with my recent issues with my Denali, this my outlook on this.

I don't think its a problem with quality, its a problem with quality control. A company as big as GM shitting out so many vehicles, parts etc, ur gonna have some shit parts no matter what. Working with aircraft, I've seen some extremely overpriced parts brand new that are complete shit.

What keeps me brand loyal is track records. I mean besides the shit ass 4l60 issues (although my 04 has 139k on it and its still going great) GM has a pretty decent track record as far as keeping mass defects down. Look at ford with the 6.0 and 6.4 issues.

This is just my opinion, not trying to be a GM is master race kind of guy. Hell, I've always wanted a benzo but I waited for Mercedes to finally get their shit together and in the 3 years I've owned my Merc, i've had almost zero issues besides a seat belt tensioner.

All these vehicles are shit ass brands these days. And it's a fools game they play with consumers as they find the line of what shit ass products they can produce and sell at x margin, yet get said consumer to return (relatively quickly) and repurchase padding profit to the share price.
All while they laugh all the way to the bank. We are really sitting here justifying quite bullshit on these expensive vehicles. Corporate America has it figured out.

That’s what gm is basically saying is their quality control is so good we (techs) don’t need to go over the new vehicles off the truck so they cut the inspection times. Anyways here’s a few more
