ordered kit from suspension source. installed over the weekend.
question is, how long will it take for the front to settle??
reason I ask is because the rear is tucking wheels. but front is up like 2 inches from the wheels. not sure if this is normal. if I need to cut the lowered shocks or if I need to change shackles to bring rear up and make it look better??

also, im running ss style wheels. with beefy tires. I will be needing tires. so Im wondering whats a good size to go with. rather then the tall tires. id like the wider tire.
I might change to a ralley wheel look. I kinda like the ralley look.

last and most important......
can anyone tell or SHOW me what might need to be trimmed on control arm.
seems like when I turn hard left im hearing rubbish. not sure if its the wheel or the spindle. but instructions said some trimming of control arm might be needed.

I appreciate any help here guys.

First of all we are gonna need some info on the size drop you did, pictures would be a huge help, cant say what size tires you need without seeing how much drop and knowing what size wheels you are running..
All trucks are different so its hard to say how long it will take to settle..normally after you drive it few miles it will settle in to where it needs to be

kit should have been 5\7.
I didn't change rear shackles. I thought they were part of kit. I took them off thinking I was gonna change. but shackles were not included. although Im not sure what stock shackles look like. the ones on truck kinda look like an aftermarket shackle... has a bunch of holes in it. I know on my old chevy....I did squares for a while. the shackle didn't have a bunch of holes. I could be wrong. tho.
thanks for replies tho folks.

I agree, your truck looks like 4" though, it settling a bunch more seems a bit of a stretch, maybe half an inch if you're lucky.

and we need to know more about what wheels you plan on running for sure...can't suggest a size tire without knowing that size wheel.

im in jersey.
so what did I do wrong or what am I missing up front. on my c10s id do 5/7 with similar kit. and parts...I just remember getting shackles with c10 kits
so in order for me to get the front down im gonna have to take it all apart and cut some of the coil??

Call suspension source, talk to Kris and express your concerns!

My guess is you got the wrong coils. And unless it states it comes with shackles, it won't...did you happen to read the full description? Now, I doubt you understood it wrong, because quite frankly getting 7" without shackles just isn't possible.

Have a link to the "kit" you bought? Post it and call SS.
