Nbs tailgate lock

Anyone have suggestions on a tail gate handle lock kits? Preferably somthing i can install easily but is good enough to keep people out of it. I keep fire gear in the back which is very expensive and some tools and whatnot

i have never seen the point in a locking tailgate with a soft bed cover, if someone wanted to get in, a knife and they are in.

theft is a big deal with the gates around here. place i used to work at in high school was next to a home depot and in one night i think a dozen peoples trucks had the gates stolen.
