Non- GM related wiring question

Hey guys Ive been helping my brother mod his truck. its a 2001 ford f150 super crew Lariat. He recently got a headlight upgrade which were these: Amazon.com: Depo 330-1119PXASC2 Headlight Projector with Park Lamp and Black Bezel: Automotive

They came with a new wiring harness that uses the stock 9007 bulbs which are high low to trigger the new 9005 projector high beams. These lights worked awesome with halogen and acted like a 4 hi mod but my brother recently upragded to HID and that function went away. Now that he has HID 9007 low beam and 9005 High beam, the low shuts off when he hits the highs. I can't figure out why and how to fix it. My best guess would be wire in a diode from the low to high beam wires. Any input/ Thanks

So what would be the remedy? A second relay harness for the high beams? He has tried both 9007 low beam only bulbs and 9007 hi/lo bi-xenon bulbs both with the same issue

you ordered the ones that they say are for that truck right?


my friends with fords had to have a special thing for the bulb to work both high beam and lo beam with a single bulb.

I'm not sure what he ordered honestly. As far as the headlights and harness they work for his truck but as far as the HID not sure. Maybe I need correctional high beam splitters from TRS
