A-Fuso's RCSB 6.0 Build

Well when I did the engine rebuild the previous owner had already done the hpop, so I reused it because the early model pumps cost more than late model ones do, around $700 if I remember right. I have had a few issues once I got into driving it, and I'm going to pray the symptoms are saying it's just the ipr valve ($200) and not the pump and valve both went. But I'm honestly not scared of owning a 6.0, I'm just ready for a new project. This turned out to be much bigger and more involved than when we originally started, and while I have been driving it, I miss driving my GMC, lot more comfort than a super duty truck imo.

But I'm honestly planning on painting the truck very soon and putting it up for sale. The wheels I had gotten are pitted beyond being saved, did a ton of sanding trying to smooth one out and can't get it to look good, so I'm gonna try and sell those as is. Hoping to be into a duramax for a permanent work rig after I graduate in the spring because I have plans to fix the GMC back up and I cannot keep using it on the farm, I'm trying to do 1 ton stuff with a 1/2 ton truck and it's slowly been killing it.

This looks like a sweet rig. Sad that you gotta sell it. I love the seat and the tails. Kinda hope I have money when you do sell it lol. What are you into it for approximately?

If I remember right we are around 15k into the truck including purchase, basically everything is new except the trans, and it feels great still since this truck spent a lot of time on the highway before. Id say I still have another grand to put into it before it'd be ready for sale, assuming the current repairs don't cost too much.

Weird with all the forum issues the past weeks this thread wasn't showing up in my subscribed list anymore.

But I tore into the engine and found the high pressure oil pump did fail internally, replaced it with a new one from ford, as well as a new ipr valve and she runs like a champ again. Truck starts up nice and strong now, Really would like to see what this thing would do with some tuning.

Last weekend, took the truck into the shop and pulled the bumpers, bed, grill and mirrors and are planning to start sanding and body work on the cab, doors and fenders this weekend and next weekend to respray the truck. Pictures to follow soon.

And ready to get all the chipping paint off the cab and clean up all the loose ends in this project.

Anyone have any suggestions for a new crimp on the end of the parking brake cable after it was shortened?

That extreme weight reduction

Glad you figured out the issue. Get it tuned and go mess with people.

Few more pics to throw up. Been trying to chase down all the chipping paint from a previous bad respray.

Trying to keep a secret from us? I seen what it was riding on, that was out of the blue.

Pics from the Cencal Trucks toy drive yesterday. Once the rain stops I will clean up the truck and take some better pics. Also hung out with Robbie yesterday.

And as far as the stocks on 305s, I like the look for as big as the body of these trucks are, but those wide of tires on stock wheels have horrible handling, especially when towing, the sidewall sway is pretty bad on them.

I have never been on 22s before, but I think that is the prefect size tire when you consider how big the fenderwell is on a super duty.
