Dammit I love this truck

I'm about to replace the shocks on the front of mine. Looking at going with QA1 TN512 Non adjustable shocks.
Anyone else ever ran these? They are specified for the 88-96 corvette per QA1's website, which meets the criteria as far as compressed/extended lengths.

they are specified for the rear, on that alone i wouldn't recommend. I also wouldn't recommend non adjustable shocks. I run Varishocks but I'm also a dealer so

Not sure how much real difference there is on these shocks whether spec'd front or rear, but I don't know. I'm no shock expert.

Main concern is stroke (yes, I said stroke...) Those QA1's I posted have a 9" collapsed length, and a 14" extended length. Which matches my current application.

These are spec'd for ford front application. Still non adjustable.

I don't see the point in an adjustable shock on a bagged truck though?... If you always drove at the same PSI, then I guess you would adjust the dampening at that height. But I don't, so I would think that would make it too soft or too stiff at different PSI/heights.

How do you have yours setup?

I am race shock expert (have 20+k in race shocks on VW)
In racing front vs rear shocks are valved differently so i would stay away from off the shelf shocks designed for one if I'm putting it in the other place

these varishocks are similar in terms of extended / compressed
CAChassisworks.com - VariShock Smooth-Body - Poly Stem Top, Spool Eye Base - Single Adjustable, 5.15" Travel

you can adjust it for a good all around ride vs buying a shock and being like ohh that's too stiff, or ohh thats too loose, for an extra couple bucks you can adjust it to what you feel comfortable with. if you don't see the point in adjusting it and you just want to live with whatever you got, then why even buy shocks? just live with what you got.

I have double adjustable shocks in the rear so i can run my compression tighter than my extension since i drive with the rear on the ground. i don't run front shocks at the moment because with my 17s the rim rubs right where the shock would go, even though i wont mount it in that fucked up location

[/IMG]Just got my ride on air,
Does anyone know of an after market clutch master cylinders that will clear a 35/22R tire? I have a 5-speed 4.8 that currently lays on the clutch hose fitting at the master cylinder when aired out.
Only thing that is saving me from breaking is the firewall and battery tray.

Really want to avoid relocating the cylinder for awhile.. Funds have ran out to get this far.

Got a question? Buddy has a fuel cell molded to accept factory fuel pump assembly on his bagged truck 02 sierra. he removes his bed from time to time it has a custom back half. twice now he has broken the plastic inlet/outlet for fuel hoses I was wondering if we can use the metal fuel pump assembly without the breather from like an avalanche or something similar that the electrical would work with . Sorry for the long post just trying to figure out what other fuel pump we can use besides the plastic one
