Baja Designs OnX LED Light Bar Behind the Grill

Wow, that is a lot. Lucky for me the projector I'm going to use is much smaller. You could always use a pvc pipe cap on the back side to seal it up. Little epoxy to hold it together and you should be good. I know a lot of retrofitters use them to get extra depth from housings. Something like this.

Yeah the light is pretty big, the face is like 3x3 and I'm guessing about 2.5" x 2.5" where it comes through the housing. I didn't think about those pipe caps, I might have to take a field trip to the hardware store tomorrow. Thanks for the tip

done. couldn't get a pipe cap to fit. it's sealed with a good amount of silicon, but if it leaks oh well. waiting for it to get dark to check light output.

Aiming was pretty good seeing as I didn't do any lol. The beam hits the ground in almost the exact same spot (distance wise) from the truck.

Damn, those little things pack a punch. Also a whole lot of glare too unfortunately.

It's not the glare, it's the beam pattern. Its their 'wide driving' pattern which is more of a close range flood light. Light was all over the place when I had them mounted below my OnX bar.

Needs HID's IMO for lows. Looks bad ass though!!

Yeah I thought about that. But after putting projectors in my last truck, I can't go back to plug & play HIDs. Maybe when I can afford it I'll cut up these headlights for a retrofit.

Thanks for the compliment though.

Holy hell that is awesome. Sooooo mash light

Thanks!

That's kinda what I was thinking they would look like. Paint the reflctor with a flat or maybe even satin black and the "extra" light will disappear I bet. See if you get flashed any with them like that first. No need to open them back up if you don't have to.

Looks good though, amps me up to start ordering parts for mine lol.

Yeah looks like the pattern would be perfect if the reflector was black. I need to figure out where to put some of these on the blazer

Thinking a couple of the like 8" double row ones behind the grille or on a push bar/prerunner bar/stinger bumper and a ~50 on the roof

No push/prerunner bar plz, keep it clean and just mount them behind the grille imo.

Yeah. Shoulda, coulda, woulda. I can easily pull them apart, I might do it in aces weeks regardless if I get flashed or not.

Hiding in plain sight is what I like to try and do the most.

At least now you know the effects of the chrome/housing and can mod accordingly when needed. Got any plans for more? I'm obsessed with lights lol
