Ordered a box for my truck, single vented 10" with .65cuft and I believe it's tuned for 34hz. Also ordered an Alpine Type S but I'm already wanting something more and it's not even here yet. Lol. I don't think the sub is going to do well in that box. Any suggestions? Thanks

Well I may send it back if I can find something better that won't hurt my bank account lol

Well if I try it and don't like it I won't be able to send back bc used. Think it'll be nice enough? I had a single 12" Pioneer Champion series in a really small ported box a while back and it bumped hard for what it was. Hoping this will out do that one lol

I suggest returning it and having one made to fit the truck and the sub that you want, not the other way around. Ive gone the mail-order route before and its a hassle to tune it and/or make it fit your space.

alex, the sd-10 will be just about what you need depending on your mounting depth. I believe the specs are similar, check into it. It's a great sub imo. I heard a couple of the new DD subs to including the 6.5 which was incredible for how small it is

A guy wants the Type S I just ordered so if I put it in and don't like it, I'll dish out the cash for the SD. I think it should fit accordingly. I believe the box mounting depth is 6 7/8"

What is port noise? Sorry for all the questions lol

It's a nasty sound. You.dont want it

Ugh. Great; hoping I don't get that. If so I guess I'll try a sealed .65 cu ft box that they said may do better

The only other two subs I considered were Sundown E10 and JL 10w4

S10 because works better in sealed. E series is more suited for ported and it's deeper and jl............don't get me started on jl poop

jl is very much overpriced for what you are getting..

if you want to stay in that $100 price range, another option is the sq HDS210. but you are better off spending the little bit extra and getting the sundown
