LED cluster Guys

So i have had LED's in my cluster for about 2 months now. today when driving the truck i noticed a high frequency noise in the speakers. didnt think anything of it, figured bad radio connection of some shit.

well tonight, i went to drive somewhere, the noise is louder, and none of my led's for my cluster light up. everything else works, guages, the high beam light seatbelt light, all that jazz just the bulbs that were swapped to LED dont.

if i turn the illumination down all the way, the noise would stop. so i pulled the cluster, and as soon as i unplug it, the noise stops.

any ideas?

My detective skills point to your leds causing the issues.

:cheeky:

Did you do them yourself or get them done?

I did my own, no noise in my speakers  pm Scott, he can probably point you in the right direction.

maybe a ohm load is screwed up, or it could actually be a bad cluster, just a guess but either way odd issue, never heard of that happening

Yeah that's definitely weird. I haven't heard of leds messing with speakers, usually it's the hid ballasts.

i fucked around for like a hour last night and it works perfect now. i'm not sure what i did but i think for some reason the wires going into the plug that plugs into the cluster were loose.

but thats just a guess. im just glad it works again.

Is the plug on the cluster loose any? Mine had a very small wiggle to it but was enough to not let half my lights work, I just soldered the plug back to the board and haven't had a problem since. Just a suggestion if it does it again.

its not the plug on the cluster but the plug on the harness that did the same thing.

needless to say scotty was confused as hell, and said if it happens again to let him know asap.

he was willing to whatever it took to make sure it wasnt his fault. great guy to deal with.

Thanks for jinxing me fgt, one of my signal leds in the cluster stopped working today

Glad ya got it fixed though
