My VHT Smoking Tails Experience

going to smoke the tail lights tomorrow with VHT night shades. any tips?

Very much truth. VHT will look hazy and ricy if not done in a professional manner, which means scuffing, adhesion promoter, several coats of vht, buffing, clearing, buffing - just to be short.

If you must, this is the best route, VHT alone looks horrible, wet sanding, clearing, wetsanding, and buffing will make it look right. But once you go through that, you might as well have just had them professionally tinted using a clear/black tint mix.

Big no to the VHT, when I do them I use bc/cc. Strait black, not metallics, don't over reduce, light coats. Then clear coat. Done.

If you insist on VHT, tape off the reverse lights :imo:. I'd candy them though.

wouldnt candying them block the light? cant do that, wouldnt be legal. also, black? is that even a candy color?

candying won't block light, you'd candy them red.
