Need urgent help

So I got a Kenwood dd and have the wire harness all done and everything, but the red ignition wire isn't hooked up to anything and when I turn the key on Nothing happens. The dd has a red light that keeps blinking. Where do I run this ignition wire to?

Run it to a source that gets power when the ignition comes on..could do radio fuse or something like that just make sure it doesnt have power all the time

This^ I ran mine to my ignition fuse on the EC I think

I thought you could just hook it up to the red wire on the oem harness. :shrug: been awhile since I hooked one up though.

My nnbs didn't have that problem. All the wires needed were in the harness.

My nbs I had to run the power wire to the fuse box.

Maybe its the brands of harnesses. Used PAC on my nnbs. Used auto zone cheap shit on my nbs.

I didn't use a PAC harness so that's why I didn't get the ignition so I ran a wire to the fuse box for it but I lost all door chimes and dings

Same thing with my nbs. Paid like $17 for the harness from AutoZone. Paid $140 for the PAC because of all that OnStar horseshit but it was worth it. It came with a chime that you plugged into the PAC unit but I didn't use it. Fuck seatbelt chimes.
