says battery not charging but its obviously charging?

so my truck had the battery unhooked for almost 3 weeks while we were doing the 80e swap, well ever since I hooked it back up it says the battery isn't charging but its its pretty damn obvious it is since it starts every time and hasn't ever died lol. alternator and everything is fine and I have a yellow top. the little blinking shit is pissing me off though any ideas?

pull the bulb :rofl: but try unhooking it and resetting the computer. maybe it was just a hiccup

If it was that simple I would lol. It pops up on the little screen though and bugs the piss out of me. I've tried resetting the computer it didn't work. I told my tuner and he sent me an update anyways so maybe that will fix it when I load that in the morning who knows

I've never seen that. But I have had weird issues with optimas before.

just because it starts doesnt mean the alternator isnt bad, it could be just slowly draining the bat.

i would get it tested.

I would get your alternator tested, because I've had vehicles with failing alternators that had the light on and ran fine for weeks until that one day when it just dies while driving lol

I would also check your main grounds, maybe something was loosened or moved when doing the trans swap? Just thinking out loud.
