Speaker Recomendations for '08 Silverado (non-Bose) Stock Head Unit

I just added foam speaker baffles and swapped out the intermittent 6.5" front door speakers with cheap Kenwood KFCG1620 (coax/4ohm) 6.5's.
GOD it sounds like S**t! The stock ones when working actually sounded better. I don't want to run an amp (yet) but I need something better in the meantime.

Any recommendations for speakers on a non-Bose stock head unit? I read somewhere, someone recommended the Infinity Reference speakers because they are 2ohm?

Someone must have a solution?

Dayton referance full range. Look at the mounting diameter and depth of your door first though.
