Speedo Repair

2005 GMC speedo "dim gear selector" needs repaired. Anybody know of a place that had good experience with?

you might ask scott if he can do it. only person on the forum that i can think of

I already did, he can only change out the stepper motors. The speedo is the only thing hanging me up on sending all my gauges to him to add led's.

Yeah, I know how to replace the bulbs with LEDs, and I know how to replace the stepper motors. But the gear indicator screen and the DIC display is what I do NOT know how to replace.

If I get the time this week I'll pull the cluster out and check all the connections & wires. Maybe I'll get lucky. I would like to fix this cause the wife sometimes drives the truck and we all know how wifes can be. bitch bitch bitch I can't see what gear I'm in... On the other hand it's my truck and been driving without it for a few years, so it doesn't matter to me.
