How to remove inner tie rod?

you have a few things that could still be wrong, jack up the front of the truck,

grab the tire in the 12 and 6 position and try to wiggle it, if it has play your balljoints are worn out.

if that is tight, grab at the 2 and 7 position and wiggle, if you have play, your wheel bearing may be going.

then grab the 3 and 9 position and try to wiggle, if it does, have a friend look from the front of the truck, and watch to see where the play is. normally you can see the play in a tie rod end by seeing if the one part moves before the other. if they seem good, look to see if they inner tierod is moving some before the rack does.

It would not surprise me if the rack was messed up after hitting the house. i believe there is an adjuster to tighten it up, but dont over tighten or the box will blow up

and driving down the road at 50 wont tell you shit by looking at it, no matter how smooth the road is, its going to wiggle, because the suspension is moving.

I'd like to add, the ball joint trick is not an accurate way. I did that SEVERAL times and never had a sign of a bad ball joint.

Also, I was under the impression you were not to fool with the adjuster. Or was that on different steering applications?

i find that i jack it up just enough for a pry bar under the tires and pry on it, the more leverage makes it easier for you to put the stress to show its starting to wear out

they never want you to play with it, but if its already fucked, might as well try, we did that for my buddy and he got another 6 months or so out of the box.

Word, I think the pry bar is the only true way, which I did not do. I finally heard it "pop" and bought new ones. Sure enough, so far both passenger side bj's are toast!

I bought all 4 bj's, warrantied all my tre's, and replaced my sway bar links.
