RCSB Derpamax Build

Thats a good idea. I never thought about doing that when I did mine, just used the cubic inches inside the console as my max. Im thinking if selling mine, I have to put my shifter right through the middle of it now lol
 
Yours was sealed with a W7 right? I wanted mine ported and that's why I went searching for more air space. Didn't want to go behind the seats and this seems to be right where I need it.
 
Ordered the Sundown SA 10 Dual 4 today along with a set of Sundown Components.
 
I figured out an easy way to get those panels to me. Just put them in the cab of the rc and ship the whole truck to me

lol I found one box. 40" LED tv box fits one just right. I need another one now though :pissed:

I might just hack together a box from scratch and use a lot of tape :turborofl:

I was just going to do the top pieces but I might just do the whole thing now
 
Started on my ipad dash today. Just waiting on the panel bond epoxy to cure enough so I can start sanding

Gonna end up painting the bezel I assume? I recall you asking about peeling the top dash pad to paint. Any color in mind?

Going to hide it behind the bezel. It has an app that you download and control the headunit through the ipad/ipod/phone.

This way I can keep my steering wheel buttons and have bt calling etc.

Knocked down a bit and then added the fiberglass filler.

I suggest while you're this far, shave the channel around the bezel it makes everything so much cleaner. this is my old bezel before the Double din install




 
That does look good, what did you fill it in with and did it crack/expand at all?

I drilled a few small holes about 3" apart in the channel, then scuffed it up with 60 grit in side the channel. used fiberglass filler to fill in the channel then sanded it down and went back over it with long strand resin to make it smooth transition to the plastic. used finishing putty for the pinholes, primed and painted.
 
I gotcha, guessing you used a piece of plastic to shave the hole for the 4wd buttons/pocket hole?
 
Yeah, just bought abs plastic sheet off eBay. Epoxied it in place and fiberglassed it in
