Remove obs governor/limiter

okay ive read multiple places that i may not have a governor unless it was a fleet/rental vehicle, im just curious when im driving and the truck hits 100 it shifts and wants to go faster but when it goes right past 100 its like the truck "governor/re-stricter" kicks in and backs down the engine, kinda like its running to 100 then backs off and wont let me go any faster.
now i know yall r probably thinking why do i need to go faster?
im just curious how to bypass it or remove it, not sure if a tune would work or if a chip would bypass it?

You might look up tbichips on google. I was going to get one on my 94 for the cats but never got around to it. They're pretty cheap too iirc and easy to install.
 
btw, we dont recommend to much high speed, ask garrett and a few others, the trucks arent made for that, and the drave shaft will blow appart.
 
dnw driveshaft blowing up.......but do have a need for speed, damn i need a peppy car to drive and keep the truck too.
 
The shaft on my 96 yukon actually came off somewhere around 90... Heavy vibration then *poof*. MF was doing somersaults down the highway behind me.
 
holy shit! where the hell did this happen?

kinda surprising mine hasnt shot out from under the truck ive cruised at 90, 95 and never had problems "knock on wood"

$12,000 I'll fix the 2 hail dents and 1 other dent on roof, replace passenger mirror for $12,500. Trans doesn't like stop and go traffic and is also EXTREMELY picky on fluid level so it has to be at top of range when fluid is cold, turned out thats why I was having issues with a strange shift.

thanks, its a decent car, pretty quick and looks decent but she wants a fullsize but the trade value isnt good on it. Books for more than what i owe just cant get that from any stealerships

also hadnt really had good luck with grand prix's we had an 03 and overtime it started shifting weird and needed a switch for the trans, we put it off and then gave the car to my sister for a summer internship that was out of state and the car broke down, had to replace trans. after that somehow the trans fucked up again so we had to put 2 transmissions in it then when she moved to be with her fiance (at the time ) now husband she traded it in for a equinox.

try to find a 94-96 caprice with LT1 thats what i have. pretty quick and can be had for cheap.
you can even go older and find someone who put a built 350 or big block in it
