Been wanting to do this for a while and got enough energy to take this little project on over today and yesterday after school.
The grille looks rattle canned but thats cause it is. I'm hoping wet sand will shine it up a bit more. If not I will take it to a body shop when this wears off. It cost me $30.

Nxt up is smoke tails, removing the chrome strip and smoking cab lights.

Also want to upgrade all ext and int lighting to LED's and get a new plate.

Don't want to come off like a hater - It looks good and it's your truck so do what you do, but I liked it better before.

Moved to exterior section. Tech Article and How-To section is only for how-to articles.

As you were :canuck:

There's also these pics. Seeing as this thread is getting used more I'll delete the other:

Looks good! but The corner lights being completely black look odd to me but i know theres not really a way to make it match the headlights. Do think it would look better with stock/denali clear lights.

I had them in but with the black/cleared corners it didn't look right. I'm going to tint the headlights a but and see if that helps. I think it's the contrast between the chrome and flat black that I don't like. I'd paint more black but don't want to fuck with light output.

Here's a copy of receipt from Danville Performance:

also had tranny rebuilt and beefed up by Big Dipper.

but I think it does need more quick. Can't decide if I wanna push for 11's or do 4" cognito lift on 20's or 22's and34's.

Thats a really good start man, you have a lot of potential there, i would for sure go for more go go parts. You could lay down a good 680-700 with the right injectors and tuning, but then you gotta start working on the internals such as pushrods, pistons, and a cam, because once you get up around those numbers your pushing your stock internals.

yup. Thinking of getting injectors and tuning it right to 650. Then buy short block and do a slow build. sinlge 72MM and aim for 850-900.
