Can you drive with out front driveshaft?

Pretty sure ya can. Seen a few guys claim they did. Was planning on doing it on mine when I regear cuz I'm gonna do it myself over a couple weekends.

Drove mine for awhile without my front before the SYE. I put a heavy duty plastic bag that some bolts came in over the rubber boot and zip tied it so dirt/dust wouldnt get in. Didn't have any problems.

This. Unlike some older slip yoke transfercases, these have a seal in the front, but dirt getting in there could destroy the seal once the shaft is back in and it is trapped.

I did in my Yukon for 2 months. Was just fine. Also did what ginger mentioned and drove without rear for about 40 miles. NOT recomended, but can do

thanks again for the info.

Cool well now that frees up a little stress and is helping me plan some more.
