what are you guys doing for exhaust. 5/7 belltech drop.
not sure if its my y pipe or muffler dragging. id like to find the right headers....that wont give me exhaust leak every couple weeks.
but pretty sure I need custom. to go as close to truck to give me room. think I might take a little off the lowered coils to get the front looking better.
any ideas, dusgestions.
tia

think a single.

It would be easy to crawl under there and find out what's hitting. ..

well driveway has a little hump. sounds like the muffler hitting. but when I roll truck into garage....scrape the y pipe.

Hahaha good advice Bryan:

Leave it alone and it'll sort itself out.

I'd look into raising your exhaust honestly. And at that point, look into any exhaust changes you'd want to do, ie headers, y pipe, new muffler etc.

chris its kinda a pain on the OBS his only hope is to pull off the y pipe, section a inch or 2 out of each pipe reweld and put it in, but iirc there isnt much room between the cat and the floor

its not like a NBS where the cats are right after the manifolds, ours are down stream a little

well id like to do the entire exhaust. but don't really have big dollars now. having just spent on drop then on tires....xmas around the block. 2 kids, wife, dog, one kids bday is on xmas....soooo
prob gonna have to wait a bit on it. id like to go headers back, but don't want problems with headers, leaks etc. guess ill get there some time. might buy a suburban 99...130k 4x so I don't have to use truck in winter.

On a 94 if its the stock cat it will be a pancake style one and they have decent clearance.

not sure what that means...I need a different cat??
trying not to do the whole exhaust right now.

as for burb. yea that's what I was thinking. get the burb. not use the short bed thru winter. garage her for a while. between now and the spring try and get funds to do exhaust, but hopefully have shop make exhaust to fit my truck. if all goes the right way, ill do the header back thing, if I can find out what headers will not = exhaust leaks every now and again.

the burb im looking at is 2nd owner. 130k. im kinda scared to buy only cuz if I buy, I cant afford to do trans, replace motor etc. but truck looked clean. supposabley female owned. thinking it would be a good buy. keep miles off wifes wagaon, be able to haul my 2 kids in truck rather then in pick up, wife can use if needed etc.

Why are you stuck on this leaky header thing? Don't buy cheap ass ebay heades that aren't proven and install them correctly and they won't leak. Doug Thorley is a popular obs brand.

Personally I wouldn't waste my money. Those motors produce little power and headers won't benefit you that much. I'd save for a motor swap instead.

This guys speaks the troof.

No...I'm referring to the 1k times he referred to wanting headers but not leaking headers. No one wants them. 99% of the headers out there for his application will work.

The y pioe wasn't mentioned! I understand that part. Trust me. I'm at 5.5", everything scapes.

Just take it to an exhaust shop to and ask them to raise the y pipe. Average price is about $40. Ive done it to all my obs
