I work in a rock quarry. Haven't washed my truck in a few months (been working 7 12s). Well my truck is covered in a nice film of clinker/rock dust. My truck is dark blue. Was discussing all this with my boss, who has a dark red truck, and he said spray the whole truck in vinegar and let it sit then spray it off then proceed with washing. It will loosen up the dust.

Thoughts or concerns?

True. Just didn't know if anyone has tried it or knows something about vinegar and paint that I don't.

Clinker is partially mixed cement and it will leave a white, hazy film if I just pressure wash or hand wash it.

foam, power wash. either way, your using a surfactant to losen the crap off the paint. make sure you wash the hell out of it before/if you want to clay. get that stuff in your bar and you will scratch ur paint, then you'll be stuck doing a full buff and polish

and vinegar is safe to use and is usually used to get cement off that is being stubborn

Thanks so much. I'm probably just gonna use vinegar. It's gonna get covered in shit again Monday.

Make sure you wax or seal the paint up after you do that. I imagine the acidity of Vinegar will strip any protection you have on it.

I have so many swirls and paint chips, it's pointless to do all that. I plan on getting the paint corrected at tax time.

98% sure the previous owner washed it will a Brillo pad.

It's not really nice enough to justify a second vehicle as a daily. It's just a nnbs w/t with fucked up paint and faded steel wheels lol.

Well when I first bought it (last september) I had planned on lowering it and had all kinds of things planned. But 973 things have come up and it just hasn't happened. So it's gone to shit.

Hopefully getting a ballin ass job with my gf's dad. So now the plan is to take my tax return and either fix all the shit wrong with my truck or take it all and trade it in on a new STi or Evo.
